Wave Maze was born out of a joint project between two people who are passionate about the sea and fishing and who have a Guest House on Maio Island. Maio is a small island in the Cape Verde archipelago, located about 25 km east of the island of Santiago. The island has an area of around 269 km² and is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and incredible natural landscapes. In addition, the island is rich in history and has a culture forgotten by the world and by Cape Verdeans, which shows us wonderful, deserted beaches.

Maio Island is the flattest island in Cape Verde, with an average altitude of just 50 meters above sea level. It is a quiet and peaceful island, perfect for those looking for a place to relax and unwind without too much stress. Here you get used to a rhythm that you won't find anywhere else in the world.

One of Ilha do Maio's main attractions is its long and beautiful white sandy beaches, which stretch for more than 10 km. The beach is a popular spot for visitors and locals alike, who enjoy the sun and sea.
